Ottawa's light rail system opened on October 21st, 2001, and has about a 5 mile (8 km) run.
The system uses three Bombardier Talent BR643 cars, which were purchased as part of an order with the Deutsche Bahn's regional rail network. Only two cars run at a time on a 15 minute schedule. In European fashion, the units are called DMU's, or Diesel Multiple Units.
Carleton is the only station with two platforms.
The north station, Bayview, is located adjacent to a Bus Transitway, as is the southern most station, Greenboro.

Crossing 1 - Ellwood Diamond
Going from north to south, this is the first of two diamonds with the CN
Crossing 2 - Walkley Diamond
This is the second of the two diamonds, and is immediately north of the Greenboro Station. The main CN yard, Walkley Yard, is just off to the right.
