Description: Trempealeau, Wisconsin is located in Southwestern Wisconsin on the Mississippi River.  BNSF freights from
and to both Aurora and Galesburg to the Twin Cities wind along the Mississippi on the East bank.   Across the river
with a distant view (almost a mile), is the Canadian Pacific/Amtrak also to the Twin Cities.

55)
(2014) rooms, European style (Shared Baths.), has a great restaurant ($$$) for lunch and dinner (Try the Walnut
Balls, The Seared Tuna, or the Walleye Sandwich).

Lodging: A great place to stay with a great view of the trains is The Inn on the River in Trempealeau not more than
40 yards from the tracks and 60 yards from the river. Caution: be serious about train watching as you will hear
trains all night long.
