Description:  Manassas is a city in northern Virginia, about 25miles southwest of Washington D.C. with a significant
number of trains passing its iconic former Norfolk Southern depot on a daily basis; including freight, Amtrak, and
Virginia Rail Express commuter trains.  Todd Sestero and I traveled there together on June 4, 2016 to watch the
famed N&W #611 steam engine start an excursion. It would certainly be worth a visit to
railfan if you are in the
Washington D.C. area.
