Description: Marion, Ohio is Located in North central Ohio. Marion Union Station has been restored and is a good
place to watch trains in central Ohio. CSX and NS cross at diamonds right next to the station.  Best guess is that
about 60 to 80 trains a day pass by.  There is ample parking at the station and when the station museum is open
(Tuesdays and Thurs 10:00AM to 2:00PM) the restrooms are available.  There is an Erie Caboose, a restored
interlocking tower, and a model RR club (frequently open on Sundays from 2:00PM to 5:00PM) on the grounds.

Nearby RR stuff: Marion Intermodal Center on SR-309 N 40.60180, W 83.07033 (not accessible to the public,
unfortunately) Daily Intermodal service to and from Kansas City. Fostoria is about 45 miles north on US -23

Local Pub and grub:  Towne House Tavern, 199 Davids St, N 40.58675, W 83.14334; This town seems to be
blessed with several working class bars. More downtown.   The Shovel restaurant and Bar has closed.

Local Fast Food and Lodging: Chain restaurants and lodging are available east of town at the US-23 / O-95
