There have been changes to the area in the last few years.  UD tower across the tracks and east of Joliet Station
was closed in 2015 and there are, apparently, plans to convert it to a railroad museum.
2015-2016 The area around Joliet Union Station underwent extensive renovations with changes in the location and
orientation of Metra and Amtrak platforms.
