Washington DC.... With all of the "other" stuff DC has to offer, it isn't a town you would normally associate with a lot of railfanning, but in truth, there is much to cover.... quite possibly enough to keep one busy for a number of days.
If you throw in the non-railroad sites that DC has to offer, you may never escape :-)
The locator map below shows what I would like to do for the area, time permitting.
The maps for the Washington DC area are as follows, as you can see, a lot of work still needs to be done!

Please, if you have anything to contribute: pictures, comments, favorite spots
to eat of hang out for pictures, or if you know something others may not, please
send it to me at

Gathering information and pictures
for a map can take days, a detailed map can take as much as 12 hours, and then
putting it all together on a webpage can take another 4 to 8 hours. So
please help me out to make YOUR railfanning experience better! My wife
will thank you too so I can work on repair jobs around here :-)
